management team

The business is managed by a highly experienced and committed team of industry professionals who have spent their entire careers building businesses and products in the hotel and hospitality technology industry. All management and the entire staff joined Xn Hotel Systems Limited following a buy-out of the business from its former parent company, Xn Checkout, in December 2006.

Greg Spicer – Managing Director
Now based in Singapore, Greg created the hotel business unit whilst on a 3-year secondment with Xn Checkout UK (2001-2003). Principally responsible for the business, Greg’s main focus is global sales expansion, client relationships, and product and business strategy. Starting his hotel technology career as a Systems Manager for then Sydney-based Southern Pacific Hotel Corporation in 1986, Greg has since spent some 20+ years in the hotel and hospitality technology industry, holding various previous positions including VP Sales Asia and Managing Director – Hotel Division - Xn Checkout (UK) Limited (1998-2006). Formerly, Greg held senior sales and management positions with Micros Fidelio Australia (1987-1998). He gained an MBA in 1993 from Macquarie University and holds an Associate Diploma in Hotel & Catering Management. 

Ken Fisher – R&D Director
Based in Washington DC, Ken heads up the company’s R&D and is responsible for the Xn globalRES electronic reservations business unit. Associated with the business since he joined as a systems architect and strategic consultant in 1999, Ken formerly held senior management positions with US-based Micros Systems Inc (1975-1996), including positions as Senior Vice President, R&D and Senior Vice President – Quick Service division.  Ken’s depth of technical experience extends from design and development of point of sale system software to the architecture, design, development, implementation and operations of the company’s hotel reservation transaction and e-commerce systems.

Alan O’Riordan – UK Sales Director
Joining the business from UK based Guestline Ltd in April 2006, where he held the position of Director of Sales & Marketing, Alan is responsible for driving sales and managing client relationships in the United Kingdom.

David Lewis – UK Operations Director
David Lewis heads up UK business operations including administration, project planning, pre-sales and account management. David was formerly a senior project manager, based in Dallas, Texas whilst working with US-based Tricon group.

Ian Van Kretschmar – Asia-Pacific Support and Operations Director
Based in Brisbane Australia, Ian heads the company’s Asia-Pacific technical support and operations, including product management of the Protel application. Joining Xn Australia in
2004, Ian has overseen the implementation and technical support of the Australian clientele and manages technical operations for a growing regional client base. Prior to joining Xn Ian previously held positions with Micros-Fidelio Australia, heading their central systems group (2000-2002).
