LANGLEY/PARSIPPANY, NJ, January 2006 – Wizcom International, a division of Cendant´s Travel Distribution Service and a global provider of technology and distribution solutions for the hospitality and leisure industry,  Xn GlobalRes,  a division of UK-based Xn plc, a leading supplier of hotel PMS, reservations management and switching services and Point-of-Sale technology for the hotel sector, today announced a service agreement to provide Xn clients with Wizcom’s Switch and Data Management tools – Rate Managersm and HOD sm..
 
Wizcom´s Switch provides Xn GlobalRes the functionality to seamlessly connect the Protel PMS/CRS system, to all major GDS’s under the Xn chain code. Some 2,800 Protel clients in 40+ countries globally will be progressively offered connection to the service over coming months.  Protel SQL, developed by Germany-based Protel hotelsoftware GmbH, is a leading Windows-based PMS/CRS solution marketed by Xn in the UK and Asia-Pacific regions.  The end-to-end solution has been engineered to support optimal performance, reliable electronic reservation delivery and integrated management of GDS and other electronic channels from within the Protel PMS/CRS application. Latest technology allows the interface to all GDS’s without the issues and costs associated with direct interfaces to each GDS separately. To support the rate and static hotel information loading processes via the Data Management suite of products. With Rate Manager the loading and mass transmission of hotel rates is done in a matter of seconds — a process that used to take weeks and months.  The central management and distribution of information and rates is completed by the HOD module, the
Web-based internet application that provides the hotels with the ability to quickly and accurately initialize, populate and manage all descriptive hotel information data for storage and distribution to the GDSs, Internet channels and RFP vendors.
