FULL ROLLOUT OF Protel

Wednesday 09 February 2005

Sydney-based Toga Hospitality group, operators of the Medina Serviced Apartment chain, Vibe hotel group of 4-star city hotels, Travelodge chain and Adina Serviced Apartments in Europe, have moved to a full rollout of the Protel Multi-Property Edition (MPE), supplied by Xn Australia Pty Limited, (XN) for management of their rapidly growing international accommodation chain.

Renowned across Australia for delivering friendly, efficient, hotel-style service, combined within upscale serviced apartments, a minimum of 40 properties will complete installation of the system during an accelerated, 12-month IT project. Of these, 11 sites from the recently acquired Travelodge chain, are likely to be added to the installation in late 2005.

Bruce Copland, CEO of Toga Hospitality said: "A very significant factor in the decision to deploy the Protel MPE application was the improved customer service capacity using common profiles for all our guests, travel agents and business clients.  The efficiencies achieved in the
early stages of implementation encouraged us to push ahead with a typical transition at a hotel taking only two to three weeks to implement.  The development of a very few additional Australian reports allowed most of our business processes to benefit from the Protel MPE system immediately.  Our expansion plans demanded we had the PMS decision behind us with delivery and support proved up before the next phase - Protel and XN have demonstrated this."
